The AAOS 75th Anniversary Project Team is collecting and posting interesting stories about orthopaedic history for the AAOS 75th Anniversary Exhibit. For example: Haven E. AAOS seeks art for eMotion project.
AAOS is seeking art submissions for its eMotion project-part of the AAOS 75th anniversary celebration. eMotion will feature artwork created by orthopaedic surgeons and their patients. Selected pieces will be displayed at the 2008 Annual Meeting, and may be chosen for inclusion in the Academy's 75th Anniversary traveling exhibit, web site, or online museum. To be eligible for inclusion in eMotion, the art must represent some aspect of the artist's feeling toward or relationship with an orthopaedic condition or physician/patient partnership, or represent some aspect of the history of orthopaedics. The deadline for entries is Jan. 5, 2007. Complete information can be found on the eMotion web site:
