A preeminent panel of experts in the field presents relevant case studies and innovative techniques in clinical orthopaedics. Patient presentations are a part of the uniqueness of the program.

    This convenient annual guide provides the association's bylaws, practices and contact information for more than 700 members, along with the educational content and program abstracts from the COS Annual Meeting.

  • Resident's Paper Competition
    The Residents' Paper Competition was created to not only further the educational support goals of the association, but also to offer an introduction platform for the next generation of clinical orthopaedic experts.

    The COS Official Website, established in 1998, grows and evolves monthly as member needs demand. Providing yet another communication connection for COS membership, the COS website is a great promotional tool for upcoming COS events, news and exchange. Members have access to the Society's password protected area to find colleagues in the member directory, participate in the mentor program and view employment opportunities.

  • Dr. and Mrs. J. Elmer Nix Endowment Fund
    The COS Ethics Award, the Dr. and Mrs. J. Elmer Nix Endowment Fund, focuses on and brings to the forefront an issue integrally intertwined with the medical community: ethics. The endowment fund is dedicated to the ethical principals that have grounded the medical field for 2,000 years, and calls more attention to the issue of ethics and its supporters. The endowment is awarded to an orthopaedic physician who demonstrates the ethical principals upheld by COS.

  • Mentor Program
    COS provides a personal and professional service to its members through the Mentor Program. Experienced members offer information and support in a variety of topics featured in the E News. Members have the opportunity to interact and ask questions.

  • The Journal of Surgical Orthopaedic Advances
    The Journal of Surgical Orthopaedic Advances, a quarterly publication, is complimentary to all Clinical Orthopaedic Society members. The Journal serves as the premier forum for the exchange of information and the presentation of new techniques and procedures, as well as updates about the ongoing educational activities of interest to all practicing orthopaedists.
